He coordinates daily clinics including undertaking diagnostic eye tests (Optical and ultrasound biometry, visual fields, tonometry, pachymetry, autorefraction, visual acuity, corneal topography and OCT) and nurse led pre-assessment.
After training as a general nurse, Craig studied in Edinburgh completing all 3 levels of his Ophthalmic Nursing at Queen Margaret University, including Emergency nurse practitioner. Craig has a variety of experience in the field of ophthalmic nursing having spent 13 years assessing and treating patients in all sub-specialties at the Princess Alexandria Eye Pavilion and the Department of Diabetes in Edinburgh.
Craig is very passionate about improving patient outcomes and continues to audit the visual and refractive outcomes of his team of surgeons and support staff, and he is proud to achieve better than benchmark standards.
As a very accessible point of contact, Craig is more than happy to advise and support all referral groups at all parts of the patient journey.
